demographic clichés...

The other day, we received the US Census form and I filled it out.

After mailing it, we all had a good laugh at ourselves realizing that we had become a bit too prosaic in our make-up:  a family with one girl, one boy and one dog.

I wonder what their families will look like....

I wonder if their kids will also underdress on a chilly Spring afternoon and ask to borrow a parent's jacket.

If you figure out how to slow down time, let me in on the secret :) Simba, looks much larger in the photo, but he has grown. He is about 45 lbs. and shouldn't grow too much more.

After reading your post, you made me think of how much of a "mejunje" our family turns out to be...just on the Puerto Rican side it is a "fritanga" of categories.

Un beso...

yeah, i was thinking the same thing. simba is huge!!
our house is a mejunje too....un papa blanco/polaco/aleman, una mama puertorriquena adoptada, dos nenes hispanos que compartimos con otra casa, un perro mutt que se pasa escapando, un pez. tim tambien estaba un poco confundido de como categorizar a los nenes....the census keeps expanding categories and they never seem to quite fit the subjects....great fotos kenito!!!!! funny about the jacket. happens to us too. nos vemos este wiken!!!

Iranian-American and Puerto Rican...those are too good looking culinary traditions...I don't know what to call your kids (other than squeeze-ably cute), but they will grow up with a sophisticated palate...from Polow Rice to Arroz Pegao :)
