this photoblog is an exploration of boundaries, borders, transitions, transgressions, and other rudiments through a lens of pixels, pixilated nostalgia, moments in time, images-both in and out of context, other optics and a few apparitions.
The blue background is the grass. I stood under the black walnut tree chasing the falling leaves with my camera. And after a few tries, I go the picture I wanted.
Then, I wanted to make the yellow leaf stand out so, I applied a cross-process filter effect which basically turns greens to blues. Blue and yellow make a nice contrast and so do the lines and the roundness of the twirling leaf. I like this photograph...it feels like a painting.
